Assistant Minister of Youth Empowerment, Sport and Culture Mr Kefentse Mzwinila has informed Parliament that the staff turnover at his ministry for the financial years 2012 to 2017 is 106 employees. 

Answering a question in Parliament on November 29 from the MP for Ghanzi North, Mr Noah Salakae, he said as for the cost of staff turnover it was very often hard to predict and quantify, since there were many intangible and often untracked costs associated with employee turnover. However, he said, the cost to hire, which included costs of advertising, candidate assessment and acting appointments was P263 103.

Mr Salakae had asked the assistant minister to state staff turnover for financial years 2012/13, 2013/14, 2014/15, 2015/16 and 2016/17 and the cost of staff turnover for the above financial years. 

He had also wanted the minister to state staff turnover at strategic management, middle management and operational positions respectively for these financial years as well as the cost of staff turnover for these cadres. ENDS
