Estate Construction has been awarded contract works for water supply pipeline at Thune Dam at a contract value of over P361 million, Parliament has been told.

Responding to a question in Parliament on November 30, the Minister of Mineral Resources, Green Technology and Energy Security, Advocate Sadique Kebonang said the company was also awarded a contract amounting to P707 million for construction of Kanye Sewerage Scheme and Waste Water Treatment Plant, making the overall total amount to over P1 billion.

Bango Trading in joint venture with UNIK Construction has been awarded a contract for the Seronga/Gudigwa. Meanwhile, Bothakga Burrow has been awarded numerous contracts among them the design for AG Sundilands and Son Design, supply and building of Maun Water Supply worth P62 880 501.

It was also awarded a tender for design and construction supervision of Shakawe Water Treatment Plant at P4.7 million (P4 714 684.80.)

Also in its awarded tenders is one for design and construction supervision of Ghanzi and Tshabong major villages water supply distribution at P13 million.

Bothakga also won a tender for procurement of consultancy services for design, review tender management and construction supervision of Mmamashia – Gaborone Water works worth P39 million.

Cul De Sac has never been awarded a tender from 2007 to date.

Gaborone North MP Haskins Nkaigwa had asked the minister to state the value of tenders given to the above mentioned companies since 2007. ENDS
