Parliament has been told that the total number of staff turnover for the Ministry of Land Management, Water and Sanitation Services for the five financial years from 2012 to 2017 is 329.

Assistant Minister of Land Management, Water and Sanitation Services, Mr Itumeleng Moipisi said the total cost of the staff turnover for the period in question was P3.6 million.

He added that the staff turnover at strategic management, middle management and operational management positions was such that in 2012/2013 there was no staff turnover for all three levels.

He said in 2013/2014 the figures stood at 47, while in 2014/2015 and 2015/2016 they stood at 102 and 100 respectively for all three categories.

As for the year 2016/2017, Mr Moipisi said staff turnover stood at 80, bringing the total for all five financial years to 329.

Furthermore, he explained that the cost of staff turnover for strategic management was P1.4 million while for middle and operational management, it stood at P1.9 million and P306 784 respectively.

Ghanzi North MP, Mr Noah Salakae had asked the minister to state the ministry’s staff turnover for the five financial years as well as the cost of the staff turnover for the financial years in question.

He also wanted to know the ministry staff turnover at strategic, middle and operational management positions respectively for the five financial years. ENDS
