Masisi consoles Kowa family

Vice President, Mr Mokgweetsi Masisi joined multitudes of mourners to bid farewell to the late Mr Rasetswana Kowa in Moshupa on November 5. 

The Vice President told the mourners that the late was a loving and caring person who was exemplary in numerous ways, challenging mourners to learn from the late Kowa. 

Mr Masisi, also Member of Parliament for Moshupa-Manyana said the late was a God-sent messenger who served the nation whole heartedly and was always eager to see Botswana moving forward, noting he attended kgotla meetings without failure. 

He said Mr Kowa lived a purposeful life, and therefore needed to be commended for his efforts. 

The Vice President said Mr Kowa was an asset to the family and nation at large who promoted humanity as he loved peace and unity.

He challenged mourners to use Mr Kowa’s life as a yard stick and have a sense of introspection to perfect their lives if they were to be coveted by many. 

He therefore expressed his condolences for the loss and appreciation to the family for having raised a man of the late’s caliber. 

On other issues, he shared that Moshupa would in the near future have a new water reticulation system to address water supply challenges in the village. 

He shed light that the Moshupa Sub-district would have a new illumination system and electricity would be reticulated to various areas.

Mr Masisi said two bridges of Hatsalatladi and Mosope that collapsed during past torrential rains were under-construction, adding the Hatsalatladi project was nearing completion. 

He said in the next financial year, funds would be disbursed for the construction of Moshupa Hospital that would be located behind Moshupa Senior Secondary School. 

Mr Kowa was born in 1932 and is survived by 10 children, 29 grand-children and eight grand-grand-children. 

At the time of his demise, he was a mixed farmer of repute. ENDS
