The branch manager of Capital Bank, Rashid Ibrahim has hailed and commended the excellence of the youth in arts, sports and business entrepreneurship.
Ibrahim said the youth gave the Ministry of Youth Empowerment, Sport and Culture Development their life, time and effort in activities and programmes implementation.
Speaking at the Ministry of Youth Empowerment, Sport and Culture Development Francistown District excellence celebrations, Ibrahim thanked the ministry’s Francistown office for playing a pivotal role in developing the lives of the youth and creating a platform for them to showcase their talent and capabilities, adding that it would go a long way to economically boost and develop their lives.
He said “as the city is celebrating 120 years, it is a pragmatic sign to acknowledge people who have developed and grown not only economically, but also in performing arts, visual arts, sports and contributing to the economy of the city through youth businesses.”
He further urged the ministry’s Francistown office to continue developing their services and to go the extra mile in developing a bigger number of the youth.
He advised award winners to invest more time, effort and knowledge in developing their talents so that they could constantly display excellence and growth in what they did.
Giving a vote of thanks, councillor Lesego Kwambala of Itekeng ward encouraged the youth to be determined and focused.
Moreover, he advised them to be cautious on how they branded themselves, as they could make a living out of their talent and creativity.
He further encouraged the youth to own up to their actions and responsibilities and to change their lives for the better. BOPA
