Bank Gaborone launches new brand

A good relationship with customers is one of the cornerstones on which Bank Gaborone is built and rebranding its logo will bring positive change, thereby creating an environment of empowerment and prosperity for all.
Speaking at the launch of the refreshed brand of Bank Gaborone recently, the group executive from the Department of Brand and Corporate, Ms Marlize Horn said the Capricorn Group was proud of what Bank Gaborone has achieved since its establishment in September 2006.
She said Bank Gaborone was the strongest performer in the group for the past financial year which ended on 30 June 2017, showing growth in revenue of 28.4 per cent and 98 per cent improvement in profit after tax.
She said the 11-year journey was not always easy, but that one thing always stood out and that was the commitment and loyalty of the management and staff of Bank Gaborone who persevered through many obstacles and challenging times.
Ms Horn said Bank Gaborone was successful in establishing itself as a leader in the market in terms of service delivery, and that it has received many accolades for its service excellence and relationships.
“We always say that we do not bank money, we bank people and therefore relationships with our customers and other stakeholders will remain a key differentiator on which we build and grow our business,” she said.
She noted that the Capricorn Group was a diversified Namibian financial services group with interests in banking, asset management and insurance.
She said the group was listed on the Namibian Stock Exchange and that as recent as September 2016, the group was rebranded from Bank Windhoek Holdings to Capricorn Group.
“This leads me to why we are here today, our group has embarked on a monolithic brand architecture journey in 2016 that will see all the brands in our group evolving to be more closely aligned to the brand of the group, and you will therefore recognise the similarities between the new Bank Gaborone brand and that of the group,” she said.
She explained that the flagship brand in Namibia, Bank Windhoek followed the same process a few months ago as well as the asset management company, Capricorn Asset Management. ENDS
