Madam Queen, in partnership with SuperModel.INC, will conduct auditions for Junior Miss Botswana on July 27-28.
The auditions will start from 10am to 3pm at the Child Line Hall in Gaborone. This year’s event would seek to generate funds to be donated to charities and other non-governmental organisations (NGOs) across the country. The pageant organiser, Queen Kolobe said in an interview that the 2012-2013 edition which was also the first of its kind was a success.
“I was very overwhelmed yet appreciative of the efforts put forth by all parties involved in organising the event, especially with the parents of the participants. They really did their best in ensuring their daughters all looked like real beauty queens and played their part,” she said.
She also indicated that the current reigning queen, Kamillah Mohamed had also dedicated her reign to raise funds in order to donate to charity. She added that the winner from this year’s edition would also carry the same motive. SuperModel.INC is currently the only Modelling Academy and Agency dedicated to promoting children’s modelling talents in Botswana.
Pageants aspirants are required to bring to the auditions a full body picture, top half body picture and some identification. The pageant would have different categories to be assigned to; ages five to eight, nine to 12 or 13 to 16, that is standards ones to seven or form ones to five. ENDS
