Atlasaone Molemogi, popularly known as A.T.I in showbiz is the brand ambassador of Botswana Telecommunications Corporation Limited (BTC) for a period of 12 months.
Speaking at a press brief, BTC general manager marketing, Pilot Yane said even though the deal to have A.T.I as their brand ambassador is set for 12 months, they were looking to have him on a longer term.
“As part of the deal, his hit single Khiring Khiring Khorong will be the face of BTC’s summer campaign,” he said.
He said BTC was pleased to be welcoming A.T.I to the BTC family and that the partnership symbolised BTC’s commitment as an organisation to developing and supporting the arts in Botswana.
“This relationship is opening doors for greater collaboration between the artiste and the corporation.
The BTC brand is evolving, similarly, the A.T.I brand is also growing in appeal and audience, so the time is greatly opportune for us to work together,” said Jane.
Jane further noted that corporates had been urged to step up with supporting and growing artistes in Botswana and this was BTC coming to the party.
“We are a brand on the move. BTC will continue to find alternative channels of reaching our customers and enhancing their communication experience,” he said.
A.T.I said he was ecstatic to partner with BTC.
“This is a monumental moment in my career as an artiste.
I have come a long way and have worked with my team to associate with large brands such as BTC. It’s time for us as artistes to take our rightful place along big brands and leverage our popularity and talents,” he said.
The BTC is set to also have A.T.I help them promote their latest product dubbed Batho Bame, which is aimed at making calls cheaper between those that would have been added to the subscription.
Batho Bame package has two subscriptions; one for a weekly subscription of P25 and the other one is a monthly subscription for P85 and people added to it get to call one another for free either for the month or week depending on the type of subscription. ENDS
