Gilport in sponsorship windfall

New developments at Gilport Lions Sporting club will see the club this year play their category A home games at the Francistown Old Stadium.
Speaking at a press conference to launch new sponsors and reveal the new technical team and players, the club’s chairperson Kelesitse Gilika said the club would also use Botswana Railways BR Express as their mode of transport to their games.
Gilika said for the first time in three years, Gilport Lions would have all their replica kit in stores.
He said the team would continue to use their orange jersey for their home games, the purple one for away games and the pink jersey would remain as their alternative kit.
He further said the team would wear Evolia sportswear courtesy of No Error Manufacturers.
For his part, No Error Manufacturers managing director Maokaneng Bontshetse said they would provide the club with playing kits,training kits,travelling and track suits.
Tops Dry Cleaners will continue to offer the team free laundry sponsorship worth P100 000 for three years whilst Slim Holdings have agreed transport sponsorship worth P30 000 per month.
Booker Matenge, of Sta Sat, a digital satellite television company said his company would help the club with a P1 million worth of sponsorship, P400 000 going towards equipment and the remaining P600 000 cash money for the day to day running of the club.
The club will also be offered a cashless gym sponsorship of over P540 000 free membership to all Jack’s Gym outlets countrywide for the next three years.
Junior Letlamoreng will assist Paradzai Mandivenga as the assistant coach, Lekgotla Baletlwa is the new deputy chairperson,Puleng Busang is the goalkeeper coach, Happy Dintwe is the team’s medic while Tshepo Ramosuswane is the team’s physical trainer.
The lions managed to register seven players this past transfer window,a striker from Uganda in Mohamed Ismael Mugunda,Takudzwa Ndoro as goal keeper, Joseph Farai ,a midfielder, Olerato Lefawane from second division,another keeper in Oabona Sebaraboi, Gaofenngwe Khubalo from Mogoditshane Fighters and Benson Ramolelwane from Green lovers.ENDS
