BFA appoints Mfolo acting CEO

Botswana Football Association (BFA) has appointed Mfolo Mfolo acting chief executive officer with immediate effect.

In a press statement, BFA president, Maclean Letshwiti says Mfolo, who takes over from Ookeditse Malesu, joins the association on a period of two years on secondment from the Ministry of Tertiary Education. 

Letshwiti says Mfolo has worked for government for 22 years and has vast experience in project management, risk management, monitoring and evaluation and quality assurance.

Letshwiti said this would resonate well with the management of BFA projects.

The statement also says Mfolo has been involved in football circles as an administrator and has Advanced Coaching Certificate.

Currently, he is the Club Licensing First Instance Body chairperson.

“We trust that the football family has found an individual that will bring financial accountability to the association, and will cultivate an excellent rapport with many constituents that are stakeholders in football nationally, regionally and internationally,” says Letshwiti.

Mfolo is a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) graduate and is widely versed in areas of management, marketing, accounts, economics, finance and company law.

He also holds a BA honours degree in Psychology and a BA degree in Psychology from social sciences, specialising in psychology and industrial psychology where he did among many others human resources management, consumer behaviour, labour law, labour relations, career management and organisation behaviour.ENDS
