Minister of Presidential Affairs, Governance and Public Administration, Mr Eric Molale has applauded Mosele Legal Services for adopting Cwaanyaneng Primary School under the Adopt a school programme.

Speaking at the Adopt a School launch on September 22, Minister Molale said that by so doing the company reminded the nation of what inheritance meant and had set an example that education remained a legacy for the future of the children of Botswana.

He also urged parents to play a role in a role and work as a team with teachers for the benefit of the children’s education.

The gesture by Mosele Legal Services, who donated a photocoping machine, sleeping mattress for preschool, books and blankets was indeed a sign of responsibility, he said.

He said by so doing they were educating the nation. The Minister also pledged to reward students who would get A during the Primary School Leaving Examination (PSLE).

Mosele Legal Services managing director, Mr Base Sebonego thanked the school for allowing them to adopt their school, especially the teachers who fought to achieve the goal of being adopted.

He said that when they learnt that the school performance was good, they realised that it was important for them to be assisted so that the school continued with good academic performance.

The director of education in the southern region, Mr Acro Maseko commended the company for the donation and further stated that since 2014 the school had been performing well and deserved such a reward.

He said as the ministry their aim was to see school results improving, therefore they were doing everything they could to achieve the desired goal.

Mr Maseko gave a report of what happened at Good Hope Senior Secondary School recently.

He sais the school management found out that the boys had over the weekend slept at the girls hostel and when they were asked to go back they refused and instead fought teachers and the security guards.

Mr Maseko sais according to the school regulations, boys were not allowed to sleep at the girls hostel, the same applies to girls.

He also noted that the school was never closed, rather, boarding students were asked to bring their parents to school on Monday. ENDS
