Minister of Agricultural Development and Food Security, Mr Patrick Pule Ralotsia is in Brazil at the invite of his counterpart Blairo Maggi to attend one of the country’s premier agriculture fair, known as Expointer Agriculture Fair.

Mr Ralotsia left the country for Brazil on Monday in order to attend the agricultural fair.

A press release from the ministry states that the show is considered the largest Agricultural Fair in Latin America and brings together livestock and agricultural machinery exhibitors, as well as agricultural field demonstrations.

The release says the visit would also enable the two ministers to explore opportunities to increase agricultural trade.

While in Brazil, the minister will also have the opportunity to appreciate the Social and Agrarian Development Policy initiative that is focused on developing small scale farmers for poverty eradication.

Mr Ralotsia is accompanied by some senior government officials.

They are expected back home on September 5. ENDS
