Ngwaketse Land Board employees have been urged to show commitment and willingness to create an enabling environment that will allow service delivery, accountability, transparency and innovation.
Water affairs regional manager based in Jwaneng, Mr Gabalaiwe Ramoshibidu said the Ngwaketse Land Board needed implementation capacity in order to achieve customer satisfaction.
Mr Ramoshibidu, who was officiating at the 2016/17 Ngwaketse Land Board performance award ceremony in Kanye, said some of the negative perceptions from the public included allegations of corruption, delayed feedback to customers and poor service delivery.
“You will agree with me that whenever you mention the word land board, you expect to hear negative feedback or a complaint and this shows that we have a huge task to deal with this bad image,” he said.
Mr Ramoshibidu also appealed to the land board management to put the customer first and to take care of its employees as well as commit to fighting corruption so that they could be on the right direction. He added that performance was rooted in focus, dedication, enthusiasm and hard work.
Mr Ramoshibidu congratulated the recipients of the awards for a job well done and encouraged them to continue to improve the work that they were doing.
He said the awards should inspire other workers to work harder and make more progress towards attainment of their set goals.
Ngwaketse Land Board chairperson, Mr Mosimanegape Mophuting said the performance awards was one of the incentives given to employees who were dedicated and committed towards their work.
He encouraged those who did not win not to despair because they could not be awarded all.
He also encouraged workers to work tirelessly to deliver to their customers. ENDS
