All Brilliant Minds Organisation (ALBRIMO) has re-introduce 'Ngwaga O Le Nna Ke Moo' campaign With the aim to improve academic performance of students preparing for examinations countrywide

The  organisation is registered with the Register of Societies-Botswana to deal specifically with promoting academic excellence by providing free student empowerment and academic appraisal programmes as well as professional career guidance in Botswana and internationally.

The organisation has managed to reach out to close to 19 000 examination candidates across the country through its campaign which promotes academic excellence by assisting students preparations for examinations.

Speaking at a press briefing on Monday, the organisation’s founding president, Mr Goitsemang Khutsafalo stated that through its hardworking team of young university students and graduates, the organisation had been able to produce amazing results in the past five years of ALBRIMO’s service.

He further stated that ALBRIMO had managed to help several schools such as Nanogang Junior Secondary School to improve from position 14 to position one in three years with an average pass rate of 89.9 per cent.

He said they also worked with schools in remote areas such as Thankane Primary School in Ngwaketse West, which moved form 25 per cent to 65 per cent pass rate under just one year.

“The organisation has witnessed success stories emanating from its own students such as Galefele Modie of Mater Spei Senior Secondary School whom before her engagement with ALBRIMO was an average performing student but through the help of ALBRIMO, managed to get herself a spot in the national top ten and Botswana Examination Council top achievers.

Mr Khutsafalo said the campaign comprised of several activities which included, the official opening ceremony, Bucle-up Empowerment tour, Mass revisions,March for Academic excellence which were held in Ramotswa and the Exam Labs programme.

He mentioned that the organisation came up with a programme called the ALBRIMO Career Expo, developed after a study was done by the organisation which recorded that over 85 per cent of Botswana’s university graduates graduated hating their courses.

Other challenges included students who changed courses and schools within their first year of studies and those who failed and discontinued.

Others he said graduated to pursue career paths they later discovered were parallel to their passion.

“The organisation created a forum called the ALBRIMO Career Expo to have aspiring university students interact with professors, industry experts, current university students, lecturers, graduates, practitioners and deans,” he said.

Mr Khutsafalo, a Sir Ketumile Masire Foundation alumni founded All Brilliant Minds Organisation in November 2011 and established it in February 2012 with

Messrs Phenyo Gokatweng and Kagiso Phije.

ALBRIMO was awarded first prize and declared The Best Youth Based Organisation March this year by the Botswana Human Resources Development Council.
