Fete de la Musique grows big

The annual Fete de la Musique festival has proved to be growing bigger every year.
The worldwide music festival, which was on its 11th edition over the weekend, saw music fanatics thronging BotswanaCraft in large numbers to witness various performances.
Fete de la Musique has gone beyond just the music festival. It is now about socialising and people go out with their families, friends and couples among others.
The weekend festival catered for all ages as it started during the day to provide for the kids while the older people also had enough of their entertainment time as it on until midnight.
Revellers had great fun from the entertainment offered by the over 40 local and international artists. The festival also served as a platform for new and upcoming artists to get exposure.
Meanwhile, a new group Harmonic Angel, made of three younths enthralled the fully packed BotswanaCraft by displaying an outstanding performance.
Formed in March this year, the jazz group was appreciated by the audience given the screams and hands on the air while Harmonic Angel was on stage. The BDF band also offered an amazing performance with their skill of playing whatever genre, be it disco, rhumba, and jazz among others.
Many artists and groups did not disappoint. The likes of Clement Jackson, Mophato Dance Theater, Monga K. and Perfect Pitch band, Mmaphala and the Dream and, Kayzee and the Nu breed, Dipstrada, spilt dance crew and Concrete village among others. This music festival was sponsored by Alliance Francaise de Gaborone and Orange Botswana. ENDS
