13 Aug 2017

Kgosi Botshwelelo Mogapi of Ditimamodimo ward, has commended Rakcomtech Plumb Africa and Neelano Support Group for the good spirit and support they cherish to uplift the leaving standard of the community.
Kgosi Mogapi said this at an event held in Sokwane Ward, where Neelano Support Group, in collaboration with Rakcomtech Plumb Africa, were donating food basket to 27 orphans and seven home based care patients, an initiative which they began in January 2017.
He urged the beneficiaries to be content with the little that had been given and further appealed to others to also find ways of contributing towards the initiative.
“This Organisation is still new, but the efforts it has made so far are abundant,” he said.
Kgosi Mogapi further promised that he would encourage other dikgosi in the village to recognise Neelano Support Group.
“I will help in ensuring that other dikgosi work with your organisation and also help you identifying the kind of assistance which the organisation can render to their community  as you have proven commitment to your ideals,” he said.
For his part, when delivering the objective of the day, the owner of Rakcomtech Plumb Africa, Mr Raj Ghosh, expressed his commitment to assisting the needy.
He said he had partnered with Neelano Support Group out of his desire to lend a helping hand, and after realising that, the group cherished the same ideals and convictions which he had.
“My Company, in collaboration with Neelano Support Group, has pledged its commitment to assisting these people with food basket on a monthly basis,” he said.
Mr Gosh said he had already assisted three organisations, the Rotlhe Support Group, SOL Support Group, which he chairs, and also Neelano.
He said currently he is in the process of sourcing funds, as the initiative was still on its infancy stage and had no track record, but was adamant that more was to be  be achieved in future.
“Although I am a foreigner, I am doing this out of love and passion. I do not intend to benefit or gain recognition out of this,” he said.
Mr Gosh said his plan was to assist these organisations so that they could receive assistance from Holland, Switzerland and Canada.
He said those countries had done a lot for Bangladesh, which was his country of origin.
“Currently, I am in consultation with Manab Karlan, which is an established Non-Governmental Organisation based in Bangladesh, on a humble request to lure sponsors for our initiative and we are very hopeful that more will be achieved,” he said.
On the background of Neelano Support Group, the chairperson, Mr Seitshiro Raditanka explained that the organisation was established in 2010 and registered in 2011.
He said they were mainly focused at caring and providing assistance to the HIV infected and affected individuals, and offering counseling to the orphans and people with disability.
“Although our Organisation is still new, it is well known in the village. We have been successful in working with health officers towards assisting those who defaulted in the ARV programme get enrolled back into the programme,” he said.
Further, he said, they also provided home based care and assist orphans, with welfare assistance, such as, counseling, food baskets, clothes, school uniform and transport fees to go to school.ENDS
