13 Aug 2017

The Wiggly Wag Services founder, Ms Tshepo Kula has emphasised the need for young people to come up with new and unique business ideas in order to strive for excellence in business.
Speaking in an interview, the 28-year-old entrepreneur, who hails from Tonota expressed disappointment at the tendency by the youth to keep on venturing into businesses whose market is clearly saturated, and urged them to think outside the box instead.
She said thinking uniquely has helped her to venture into the less tried pet services business, which she said was business tailored for clients who do not have time to walk their pets, yet want to keep pets such as dogs and cats in good shape and health.
She said she then decided to establish a business that offered a range of healthy, home-made treats.
“At Wiggly Wag we do not see these pets as just dogs and cats, but family, companions, entertainers, and even body-guards.
They are constant reminders of the beauty of life,” she added.
She indicated that the mission of her business was to bridge the gap between busy owners and their awesome pets by keeping such pets happy no matter what.
The pet treats service provider, who is based in Gaborone advised young people to follow their passion in order to come up with what is different from what the market already provides.
“We are all passionate in different ways and passion will absolutely drive one to come up with a different and unique business idea,” she said.
Ms Kula said her love for dogs and interest in interacting with them pushed her to start the business that entailed baking treats for them and walking them.
She said her business started as she baked treats for dogs owned by her family members and friends.
Realising the demand in the market, she then decided to venture into the business, which she described as doing well so far considering its just three months of existence.
She already gets orders every week.
Ms Kula highlighted the importance to treat pets and bond with them so that they feel special.
She said in that way they would hardly go astray as they would not find the need to leave home.ENDS
