No SCD officers at Khudumelapye
10 Aug 2017
Assistant Minister of Local Government and Rural Development, Ms Botlogile Tshireletso says there are currently no social and community development officers stationed at Khudumelapye village.
However, she said an officer has been posted to the village and was introduced to the village leadership during the month of May 2017.
Ms Tshireletso further said the officer went to complete her studies at the University of Botswana and returned mid-June 2017 but she delayed to move to Khudumelapye as her house was still under renovation.
Ms Tshireletso explained that there were inconveniences caused because officers from Letlhakeng and Sorilatholo villages were assigned to assist Khudumelapye residents.
She further said, the routine visit from Letlhakeng office is effective as the officers continue to attend issues at Khudumelapye village and had recently completed a mass review of poverty eradication beneficiaries.
The officer is expected to resume duty at Khudumelapye village on August 14.
Assistant Minister Tshireletso was responding to a question in parliament from Member of Parliament for Takatokwane, Mr Ngaka Ngaka who had asked the minister if he was aware that there were no social and community development officers at Khudumelapye village and why the routine visit from Letlhakeng office is not effective and when officers will be posted to Khudulelapye.
