Council never promised Tsonyane borehole

Assistant Minister of Local Government and Rural Development, Ms Botlogile Tshireletso says the Mabutsane Sub-District Council has never promised the Tsonyane community a borehole.
The assistant minister said Tsonyane does not fall under the category of remote area settlements and was, therefore, not eligible for the provision of a borehole for watering livestock.
Ms Tshireletso noted that only remote area communities (RACs) were eligible for provision of such a service.
MP for Kanye South, Mr Abram Kesupile had asked the minister if he was aware that residents of Tsonyane in the Southern District were still without a borehole to water their cattle despite the promise by the Mabutsane Sub-District Council. ENDS
