Three Bulls Food to take country by storm

Food is more than just what meets the stomach. Not only does it evoke creativity and satisfy people’s way of living, food also has the power beyond just physical satisfaction and tickling palates; it helps us appreciate other cultures and bring some diversity by embracing other dishes.
It is admirable seeing young Batswana embracing the power of food and trying to make a living out of it. One such group is Three Bulls Food, which is a company run and owned by Batswana producing meatballs.
Operating in Block 3 Industrial in Gaborone, BOPA sat down with Mr Kealeboga Amos, a sales director of the company to hear their take on their offerings and what inspired them to venture in their line of business.
Three Bulls Food is the sole producer of meat balls, which are 100 per cent locally made and boasts clients that offer catering services such as hotels, lodges and guest houses.
With Botswana solely dependent of South Africa for most of the products, the company wishes to take Botswana by storm and eventually be licensed to export their products outside Botswana.
Mr Amos noted that they were currently pursuing a partnership with Spice Hub, a company that specialises in spices, as they would like to introduce spices to the meatballs for different flavours to suit different taste preference. Flavoured meatballs are expected to be available next month.
As part of its social responsibility, Three Bulls Food want to empower young Batswana youth to start their own businesses without expecting anyone to invest in their companies.
The company will afford Batswana a chance to become ‘shareholders’ in the business by distributing the products in Gaborone and earn a significant amount from the products sold.
Prospective distributors will be recruited and only 50 fortunate ones will be selected after the intense vetting process.
The chosen distributors will be required to pay P300 that is redeemable after sales reach a certain target and the money would allow them to get a branded T/Shirt and a cooler bag. After selection, the distributors would then go door-to-door selling meatballs of which they would make more profits based on the amount of their sales.
The company would then go through the evaluation process every two months with the help from customer feedback to determine if the distributors performed well.
Thereafter, more distributors will be added to the list and they would cover other areas of Botswana such as Palapye, Francistown and other major cities and villages in the country.
Presently, only three people have taken to the role of distributing the company products door-to-door and they can attest that the only challenge was fewer sales generated during the week due to the absence of customers at home because of work commitments, but that their sales saw a major peek on weekends as more people stayed at home during that time.
Three Bulls Food meat balls are a good offering and what stands out from this product is the wonderful attention to detail that has been put on their packaging and it is evident that it was crafted by people who take their business seriously.
The meatballs are ideal for social gatherings such as weddings, kiddies-parties, work functions to mention just a few. ENDS
