The Ramapodu cluster is happy after the Ministry of Agricultural Development and Food Security handed them a ploughing field recently in Mogorosi. 

The ministry’s director of poverty eradication, Ms Gaokgakala Rammidi explained that there was need for the area to be set aside specifically for ploughing as some farming lands were ungoverned leading to poor farm produce.

She said with the isolated land used exclusively for ploughing, livestock was free to graze anywhere else since the crops would be protected.

Cluster fence recipients celebrated the development, saying it would change their lives for the better.

They said it had been a struggle to carry out farming activities, but that now it would be easy to care for their produce.

Ramapudu cluster chairperson, Ms Tshwanelo Moabi advised that the project be taken care of for it to serve its intended purpose.ENDS
