Assistant Minister of Health and Wellness, Mr Dikgang Makgalemele says his ministry is aware that the staff wellness and welfare isimportant for all health workers in all facilities including Mahalapye District Hospital.

Answering a question from MP for Mahalapye West, Mr Joseph Molefe, Mr Makgalemele said Mahalapye District Health management Team had an annual plan for wellness activities for the staff in the DHMT.

He said in June 2017, the new committee was selected as assigned to coordinate the implementation of the plan.

He however said the ministry did not have plans to construct recreational facilities for the staff.

Nonetheless he said the DHMT was in the process of identifying a room in one of their facilities which will be used as a staff recreational facility.

On another issues, he said there were six staff houses planned under ESP for the financial year 2018/19. ENDS
