Storage sufficient at Jwaneng clinics
11 Jul 2017
Assistant Minister of Health and Wellness, Mr Dikgang Makgalemele says Ditsweletse and Tshimologo clinics in Jwaneng do not have any challenges with storage space for drugs.
He said the storage space was sufficient for the size of each clinic and the commodities that had to be stored there.
Mr Makgalemele said because the two clinics did not have challenges with storage space, drug availability was not affected as they were able to store commodities that were sufficient for their needs.
He said there was no action taken to address storage of drugs at the two clinics since there was no challenge with storage of medicines.
The MP for Jwaneng/Mabutsane, Mr Shawn Ntlhaile had asked if the ministry was aware that the two clinics had a challenge of storage for drugs.
Mr Ntlhaile also wanted to know the impact of the shortage of storage on drug availability as well as actions being taken to address the challenge. ENDS
