Officer owed subsistence allowance
11 Jul 2017
Assistant Minister of Agricultural Development and Food Security says his ministry is aware that an agricultural scientific officer (Molemisi) based at Mmatshumo is owed subsistence allowance for one night.
Mr Kgotla Autlwetse said the subsistence allowance in question was for November 24 2016.
He said it took long to pay the officer because she had used incorrect subsistence allowance rates in her claim, and that it had to be corrected and resubmitted for payment.
“The subsistence allowance arrears were submitted to the revenue office on July 6, 2017 for payment,” he said.
The MP for Boteti East, Mr Sethomo Lelatisitswe had asked the minister if he was aware that the Molemisi based in Mmatshumo was owed subsistence allowance from two to three years back, and if so, why it took this long to pay the officer and when would the officer be paid. ENDs
