First National Bank has been awarded the ‘Best Bank in Botswana’ by the Euromoney Awards for Excellence 2017.

A press release from FNBB says the award was bestowed to the bank at the Global Awards for Excellence, a prestigious ceremony in London on July 6.

The Euromoney Awards for Excellence, the release says, has been running for a quarter of a century and represents the ultimate accolade of success.

“Only those institutions that bring the highest levels of service, innovation and expertise to their customers are honoured by these prestigious awards.

All the banks in Botswana were eligible for the award, in the end, FNB Botswana emerged the winner of the Best Bank in Botswana award,” it says.

FNB Botswana CEO, Mr Steven Bogatsu is quoted in the release saying they were “pleased to have been recognised as a leading player in the banking sector in Botswana.

Our relentless pursuit for excellence and our continued commitment to offer the best banking solutions to our customers is what drives us.”

He says behind the customer centricity strategy is the ‘bricks to clicks’ drive, a concerted effort to encourage our customers to migrate to our digital service platforms which are more convenient and cost-effective for them.

“Our eBucks Rewards programme also scored us points for rewarding customers who utilise the many first-to-market solutions, such as cellphone banking, online banking, FNB APP, eWallet and many more.”

The FNBB CEO says the accolades are attributable to the bank’s strategy of always putting customers first coupled with the ability to harness technology for banking efficiency that add significant value to customers.
