Botswana 400 metre runner Isaac Makwala as usual resurrected in Resisprint meeting in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland, after clocking his Seasons Best in both 400 and 200 metres on July 2.

Makwala has over time enjoyed and did well in the Resisprint meeting given that in 2015 he reclaimed back his African Record title from South Africa’s Wayde van Niekerk with a spectacular performance of 43:72.

Wayde had snatched Makwala’s AR of 44.01 at the IAAF Diamond League meeting in Paris, with a time of 43.96, but Makwala took a day to reclaim his AR.

Again the Resisprint meeting is where Athletics pundits believe it is a lucky Stadium for Makwala, given that even if he can fail to clock good times during the season, but when it comes to the Resisprint meeting he always raises the bar.

In 2013 Makwala, clocked his SB of 45.86, in 2014 he recorded 44.01 which was Africa Record and Meeting Record in 2015 he clocked yet another Africa Record of 43.72.
