School head applauds OP

Mokolodi Primary School head teacher has applauded the staff of the Office of the President (OP) for coming to their rescue.
Ms Obamang Kgosidintsi expressed this on June 22 after the ministry staff rendered their service during a community service day at the school. Among the tasks performed by the ministry staff included the construction of football and netball grounds for the school, tree planting and spreading crash stones to protect staff and students against mud and dust.
According to the head teacher, the efforts of the OP would be handy for the school, especially the netball and football pitches. Ms Kgosidintsi said the school had not been having proper playing grounds hence creating of football and netball ground would assist to develop talent.
The school head teacher added that since the school was opened, they had not been having proper playing rounds. Assistant Minister for Presidential Affairs and Public Administration, Dr Gloria Somolekae said the community service day initiative was set aside for the civil service to reach out to the community.
The assistant minister said during the day, the civil service used their skills, expertise and hands to add value to the lives of community members. She highlighted that the playing ground would aid the school extracurricular activities.
The area Member of Parliament, Mr Moloki Raletobana also thanked the staff for having chosen the village. However he decried the lack of access roads in the village and said they had hoped for the country President to be among those taking part in the day’s event. ENDS
