Entrepreneurship provides another avenue

Bangwaketse Filling Station director says youth entrepreneurship remains one of the most sought after strategies.
Mr Gofamodimo Motsosi said this during the Kanye Sub-region Guidance and Counselling Career Fair for Form Three leavers in Kanye recently.
“Now is the right time for learners to start leaning the intricacies of the business world and gain experience,” he said.
Other than creating employment, Ms Motsosi said young people who were empowered with business skills helped employ fellow citizens and thereby reduce dependence on government.
For her part, Ms Kealeboga Tlhaolang urged fellow students to believe in themselves if they wanted to venture into business and become entrepreneurs of repute.
Ms Tlhaolang, a Form Three student at Ntebogang Junior Secondary School in Kanye, also pleaded with her colleagues to never give up their dream to pursue business even if they did not do well in their junior certificate examinations.
Kanye Sub-region chief education officer, Mr Myson Mbuso urged students to use the platform to gain knowledge on requisite business subjects they would need in deciding their career path. ENDS
