Botswana will host hockey week as part of Olympic Day celebrations from June 17.

A press release from Botswana Hockey Association explains that the event scheduled for June 17-25 will include different activities such as a coaching clinic, indoor tournament, hockey5s tournament, field hockey and exhibitions to raise awareness.

It also explains that International Hockey Federation has also requested National Associations to organise activities that target promoting the hockey5s across the world as a way of commemorating the beginning of modern Olympic Games.

It says the celebrations are done in quest to activate many national associations to arrange hockey5s events in their countries on or around June 23.

According to the release, UB Oryx will host Midlands Lion from Zimbabwe while the National U21 and the senior team will also take part in the tournament. ENDS
