BotswanaPost opens Malawi corridor
13 Jun 2017
In efforts to diversify its products and services, BotswanaPost has added Malawi to its corridors of sending and receiving money internationally.
A press release from BotswanaPost states that the addition of the Malawi corridor increases the number of countries that BotswanaPost has inter-postal relations with to five.
The other four countries are Lesotho, South Africa, Swaziland and Zimbabwe.
The acting general manager, Ms Joyce Ntau says the Malawi corridor has already attracted a significant number of outbound transactions after going ‘live’ on May 1.
She says the development is a testament to BotswanaPost’s commitment to reinvigorating itself and offering products that are relevant and convenient to the general market.
The release further notes that BotswanaPost has pegged the Malawi corridor competitive and beneficial prices to customers, adding that it offers a platform to send and/or receive up to P5 000 from as low as P28.20 per transaction.
It states that the existing corridors are doing well with Zimbabwe the best performer. ENDS
