He however mentioned that government did not compromise on the quality of education due to such a problem.

“SELEBO region is leading by example and you can do more with the little that you have regardless of what the ministry is going through,’ he said.

‘Education cultivates wholeness for it is one’s growth and appreciation of who they are,’ he said.

The donation of P22 750 from his business, he said, was a social responsibility role his organisation was playing in the community they operate within.
“As a corporate entity, we intend to give back to the community, especially SELEBO region through all possible means available,” he said.
Permanent secretary in the ministry, Ms Grace Muzila said teachers were always at the centre when it comes to educating the nation.
She said the ministry needed teachers who always research, learn new things and update themselves to stay informed.
“Learners need to be taught by well-informed teachers as students of the present are exposed to different technologies and challenges,” she said.

She urged teachers to read a lot to align themselves with the education stature of the nation, region and the globe as the ministry wanted to produce outstanding learners from the primary level upwards.
Teachers were awarded certificates, while best students were given a P500 cash prize and certificates as a token of appreciation for their hard work.
