Project requires commitment by all- Molefhi

Members of the Molepolole Apostolic Faith Mission (AFM) have been urged to play an active role to achieve their objective of building a modern church structure.
Giving a speech at the Molepolole AFM fundraising dinner for the anticipated P16- million church building project, Minister of Infrastructure and Housing Development, Mr Nonofo Molefhi advised that unless there was commitment, dedication and devotion to put required resources together, the dream of constructing a modern facility would not be attained.
“Let us demonstrate commitment and togetherness in taking decisions at individual levels by ensuring that the spirit of self-reliance is more evident among us for sustainability of the intended project”, he said.
Mr Molefhi, who is also the Member of Parliament for Selebi-Phikwe East, further challenged Molepolole congregation to achieve the intended goal of putting up the structure by utilising their different skills to reduce the amount of money earmarked for the project.
The minister added that it was important that resources were put together through joint efforts for the success of the project.
He expressed hope over the fact that members would devote their time to the project and support the assigned committee by coming up with vibrant ideas aimed to improve other aspects of the project.
Minister Molefhi congratulated Molepolole AFM’s visionary leadership to have gone an extra-mile towards moving into a modern facility that he advised, should not only confine itself to the purpose it has been intended for, that is Sundays services.
He said it should also be equipped with recreational equipment aimed at benefitting youthful church members, as the role of a church is also to build and establish not only a person, but a united, trustworthy and responsible individual.
The AFM President, Mr Jobe Koosimile had earlier emphasised the fact that the project as a modern facility, should not only be used for worshiping purposes, but to benefit Molepolole community.
Pastor Koosimile, also Thamaga AFM based Pastor, expressed gratitude over the intention to put up the facility that he said was of great value.
He expressed happiness over the fact that Molepolole AFM had attracted more members, thus demonstrating the prudent management of those in leadership positions evident in the growing numbers.
Molepolole AFM Pastor Ephraim Semathane called for support towards the endevour, saying it required devotion to bring into reality the structure of such a magnitude together.
He said churches were mostly challenged by the fact that they were none profitable organisations and therefore required full commitment of individual members to attain the dream. ENDS
