The coordinator of Kanye youth business expo, Mr Moutlakgola Masire has hailed as successful the just ended two day youth exposition in Kanye.

The occasion themed: 'Searching for new opportunities, leveraging wealth, power and influence,' was supposed to inspire confidence and furnish youth with the necessary tools that inculcate the spirit of entrepreneurship among the youth.

In an interview, Mr Masire said the event managed to get almost all the people they invited as well as exhibitors who came forth and made stalls more appealing.

“We had presenters from different sectors with inspiring and powerful messages,” he added.

The expo, according to Mr Masire also attracted visitors from across the country, something he stated helped raise the village profile and added value to local businesses.

Moreover, Mr Masire highlighted the expo provided young people with opportunities to network with influential industry players thus expanding their business horizons.

For his part, the assistant coordinator, Mr Bogolo Tlhofaetsi stressed that youth attendance fell well below expectation.

He said they had hoped for huge crowd so that many young entrepreneurs may acquire entrepreneurial skills from the business gurus.

The expo was the first of its kind and it is the intention of those at its helm to make it an annual event and ultimately spread the concept throughout the country. ENDS
