Member of Parliament for Molepolole South, Dr Tlamelo Mmatli has applauded Al-Haq English Medium School for maintaining its 100 per cent pass rate in the Primary School Leaving Examinations (PSLE) for the past three years.

Speaking during a meeting to celebrate the achievement of the school in Molepolole recently, Dr Mmatli said with a solid foundation and strong educational background from Islamic International School, he had no hesitation that Al-Haq would always produce satisfactory results in the PSLE looking at their commendable commitment of striving for excellence.

That, he said had shown that there was a spirit of teamwork, deliberate plans and desire to achieve goals.

“I will like to give the school a standing ovation for using the ratio of one teacher to 25 pupils in each class, which means that teachers are not overworked, therefore it is very easy for them to produce good result,” he said.

He said disciplined teachers were playing a pivotal role in making sure that pupils were taking their studies seriously with the close monitoring they do.

Therefore, he said there was a need for parents’ hand in taking part in their children’s education by making special arrangements prior to making their learning environment conducive.

Furthermore, he encouraged students to maintain their spirit of hardwork and avoid negative peer pressure, which he cited as a hindrance in maintaining good results.

Dr Mmatli said students must be strong and well determined to overcome toxic advice.

Also, he urged parents to build a strong relationship with their children to understand them and improve their communication during transition to adulthood. Ms Nanayaa Moyo from Kweneng International
