PAT hair saloon motivates youth

27 Apr 2017

A young business woman Ms Patricia Malesela has advised the youth to stop relying too much on the government when they establish their businesses.
Ms Malesela, who hails from Bobonong,  said she started her business Pat Hair Salon from her own funds she raised while working as a hairdresser in a salon.
She said she was saving the little money she was earning from hair dressing job until it was enough to start her own salon last December.
“I used the money to buy special salon equipment that will attract customers to my business,” she said.

Ms Malesela said today her salon has extended its services from hair dressing to pedicures, manicures and other beauty parlour services.
She said her salon has become one of the busiest in Bobonong due to its workers who always give customers quality service at all times.
Ms Malesela said the youth must strategise how they were going to run their businesses before they could start operating.
“My strategy was I just want to run a salon that will attract customers by its high quality customer service,”  she said.

She said using equipment of a high quality to satisfy customers and experienced workers were some of the things that made customers to come back for her saloon every time.
Ms Malesela said the youth must always know that every business has challenges.
She said her business sometimes recieves few customers especially at the beginning of the year. She said expensive rentals prevent youth businesses from flourishing. ENDS
