The Minister of International Affairs and Cooperation, Dr Pelonomi Venson-Moitoi says Botswana and Mozambique are discussing collaborations in various sectors.
Speaking at the start of a three-day state visit to Botswana by the President of Mozambique, Mr Felipe Nyusi on April 24, Dr Venson-Moitoi said the two governments were working on agreements in tourism, air transport, agriculture as well as energy sectors.

Dr Venson-Moitoi noted that air transport services between the two countries would help to facilitate tourism between them.

“We can have international tourists being flown directly from Mozambique coming here to experience the delta after experiencing the sea in Mozambique. These are options which we are looking at,” she said at the Gaborone International Convention Centre on April 25.
Dr Venson-Moitoi also said there were discussions about Botswana increasing its animal vaccine exports to Mozambique. She also said Botswana wants to sell beef to Mozambique.
In terms of energy, she said there was an agreement between the two countries for Mozambique to supply Botswana with more electricity.
