Observe trading hours during easter holidays

The public and liquor traders are reminded that the official trading hours stipulated in the second schedule of the Liquor Regulations, Regulation 8(1), will prevail during Good Friday and Easter Monday holidays.
A press release from the Ministry of Investment, Trade and Industry says the liquor regulations stipulate that a bar liquor license authorises the sale and consumption of liquor on the licensed premises between 2pm and 10 pm from Monday to Thursday, 12pm to 11pm on Friday and Saturday and 3pm on Sundays and public holidays.
The release further says a bottle store license authorises the sale of liquor to members for consumption off the premises between 10 am and 7 pm on Monday and Saturday and on Sundays and public holidays no bottle store shall be open.
It further says wholesale liquor and distributor liquor licenses authorise the sale of liquor for consumption off the premises between8am and 5pm on Monday to Saturday and on Sundays and public holidays, no wholesale liquor and distributor liquor shall be open.
The press release further notes that a discotheque/night club license authorises the sale and consumption of liquor on licensed premises between 7pm and 12 midnight from Monday to Thursday, 7pm and 2am on Fridays and Saturdays, 3pm to 10pm on Sundays and public holidays.
It further says a club liquor license authorises the sale and consumption of liquor on the licensed premises between 2pm and 10pm from Monday to Thursday, 12pm and 11pm on Fridays and Saturdays, 3pm to 10pm on Sundays and public holidays.
The press release further highlightes that a liquor depot license authorises the sale and consumption of traditional beer on the licensed premises between 2pm and 2.10pm from Monday to Thursday, 12pm and 11pm on Fridays and Saturdays, and 3pm to 10pm on Sundays and public holidays.
It further notes that no liquor shall be served in restaurants except between 12pm and 2.30pm and between 4.30pm and 10.30pm on a daily basis.
Licensees are also reminded that intoxicating liquor should be served only to bona-fide diners in the restaurants and for consumption on the premises, temporary liquor license for festivals and other public activities authorises the sale of liquor between 2pm on Mondays to Saturdays, a temporary liquor license for a picnic authorises the sale of liquor between 12pm to 7pm on Mondays to Saturdays and all liquor business operators and/managers are therefore advised to observe and comply with the provisions of the Liquor Act and its Regulations as stated above.
