Botswana telecommunications rolls out 4G

Botswana Telecommunications Corporation (BTC) has rolled out the widest 4G (fourth generation network) service which is better, fast and has steady connection with data transfer rates of 100 Mbps (mega bites per second) giving optimum download and upload time.
BTC managing director, Mr Anthony Masunga, is quoted in a press release from the corporation as saying BTC will leverage on having the widest network coverage in the country for a broader market reach.
BTC tested the network capability to ensure a vigorous service that can connect customers from over 95 sites, which is the widest coverage in the country.
The release states that BTC is the leading service provider in Botswana with the strongest backbone support in the market giving it a window of opportunity to better Botswana.
It further says the corporation is the leading ICT service provider with most modern telecommunication infrastructure in Africa which comprises of an all-digital microwave and fibre optic system with digital exchanges, hence high quality service.
4G enables perfect consistent speed to ease online game playing, streaming of high definition movies and downloading of any other content.
It comes with increased download and upload speeds thus easier connectivity with family, friends and colleagues via video calls. ENDS
