Local chemicals manufacturing company; Bene Chemicals has donated cleaning chemicals to SOS Children’s Village in Tlokweng.
Bene Chemicals public relations officer, Ms Beauty Seremane said the chemicals, worth about P20 000 were enough to last the centre for about a year.
She said Bene Chemicals decided to assist SOS after the centre solicited support from them, adding the chemicals were highly concentrated.
Ms Seremane said they were prepared to support non-profit making organisations such as SOS in delivering their services to communities.
SOS children’s Village Family Based Care Manager, Ms Clara Fulele said SOS provided children with a loving and caring environment, adding that they have about 17 homes at the centre in Tlokweng.
Therefore, she commended Bene Chemicals for having shown compassion and care towards SOS children.
Ms Fulele said SOS is a trustworthy and accountable organization, adding that Bene Chemicals would see the value of donating to the centre.
“Trust us, this donation will benefit the children,” added Ms Fulele. She added that SOS has other centres in Serowe and Francistown and they would do their best to share the donations.
SOS corporate fund raiser, Mr Johannes Bontlogile said the donations would reduce the centre’s budget and the money would be spent on other needy projects.
He said SOS as a non-profit making organisation survived through donations from good samaritans.
Among the donations; were dish washing liquid, pine gel, hand-andy, floor max and soap power all manufactured by Bene Chemicals. ENDS
