The North West District Council is currently executing some maintenance interventions by way of both wet and dry grading of internal roads in Boteti East to bring them into trafficable standard.

Assistant Minister of Land Management, Water and Sanitation Services, Mr Itumeleng Moipisi said this in Parliament.

He however said the Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development  has no plans to upgrade some of the roads in Maun East constituency to paved roads or bitumen standards during NDP 11. The said internal roads are Disana, Gxhabara, Matshwane, Boseja area and Thito behind the stadium.

The Member of Parliament for Maun East, Mr Kostantinos Markus had asked the Minister  of Local Government and Rural Development when funds to tar or pave the internal roads in Maun East would be made available.

The roads he wanted paved are Disana, Gxhabara, Matshwane, Boseja area and Thito behind the stadium. ENDS
