Sales director for AFRICA, Pepperl + Fuchs, Mr Marc Pelt has said they hoped to drive factory and process automation solutions and upscale Botswana competency in industrial sensors and explosion protection across the country.
Speaking in an event to launch a distributor partnership between Instrumentation Services Botswana and Pepper+ Fuchs in association with A.S.A Enterprises instrumentation services Botswana, Mr Pelt said the partnership agreement hoped to draw attention to the efforts that the private sector was looking at for all alternative and sustainable ways to develop Botswana’s technical competency and application knowledge on all future projects in the field of factory and process automation.
“I am pleased having Instrumentation Services as our distributor for the industrial market in Botswana, this collaboration is part of our strategy in Africa to make our product portfolio locally available via a well –trained and trustworthy partner,” he said.
The managing director of A.S.A Enterprises which Instrumentation Services is part of Mr Ajit Ahuja said as a Motswana the partnership gave him a great pleasure as there were a few Batswana in the same market. He further said the partnership was a true testament of their collective commitment in providing total solution and technical competency in Botswana across all major industries including mining, abattoirs, and utilities.
“I can assure you that we will make this partnership a success,” he said.
For his part, Botswana Investment and Trade Centre chief operations officer, Mr Meshack Tshekedi said as an investment and trade promotion agency one of their key mandates was to promote partnerships like this one especially in the products and services including skills that the nation did not have.
“In my view this collaboration will not end or be restricted between the two entities, I foresee an opportunity for products and services as well as imparting knowledge in the local industry to benefit local entrepreneurs,” he said.
The collaboration is designed to provide practical industrial Pepperl + Fuchs sensor and explosion protection solutions in Botswana. ENDS
