Serowe-based teams, Arsenal and Miscellaneous started the first round of the northern zone netball league on a high note.

The two teams had a field day on Saturday as they smacked Botsrail from Mahalapye and Morupule Wanderes of Palapye in the games that were played in Serowe.

In their first encounter, Arsenal had an easy game against Botsrail beating them 46-31 and credit must to Arsenal’s goal attacker Malebogo Ontiretse, who  scored every ball that was passed to her.

In  their second game against Morupule Wanderes, Arsenal enjoyed themselves further but won with a small margin  of 27-26 and their energetic centre, Nshingululu Masukulu had Morupule struggling to keep up with her.

Miscellaneous on one hand sailed through beating Botsrail and Morupule Wanderes 46-41 and 55-21 respectively.

Miscellaneous enjoyed fast play, therefore tiring Morupule Wanderes even further and the  Miscellaneous goal attack and goal shooter, Mercy Kololo and Thato Orethuse  proved to be a  good combination .

Enjoying  a massive support from the spectators, Miscellaneous beat Botsrail 46-41. However, it was not a smooth sail as Botsrail goal shooter, Kebalesitse Kolobetso did her best to crush their attempts.

Kolobetse’s  height put her at an advantage as she scored all Botsrail points and her opponent goal keeper, Thatayotlhe Tshwenyego had a difficult time trying to keep away the ball from her. ENDS
