Outstanding maintenance for next financial year
28 Mar 2017
Parliament has been informed that some minor maintenance was done last year at Khwee Primary School ablution facility to make it conducive to mankind.
Responding to a question from MP for Boteti East, Mr Sethomo Lelatisitswe recently, Assistant Minister of Local Government and Rural Development, Ms Botlogile Tshireletso said the outstanding maintenance at the school would be considered in the 2017/18 financial year.
Ms Tshireletso mentioned that the ablution block was at times rendered unusable due to low water pressure and not maintenance requirements.
She further stated that there was no cyclic maintenance of the school in the current District Development Plan 8 (DDP8) due to budgetary constraints.
MP Lelatisitswe had asked the minister if she was aware that the ablution block for Khwee Primary School had not been working for a long time and no maintenance had been done.
He also wanted to know when maintenance would be done to make the school conducive to mankind, and whether cyclic maintenance of the school would be considered in the current DDP8. ENDS
