No plans to repossess undeveloped plots

Parliament has been informed that there are no plans to repossess undeveloped plots from Phase I Extension that were allocated in 2004 and 2011, Phase II Extension allocated in 2012, Tawana Extension allocated in 2005, 2006 and 2013 and Letsibogo allocated in 2014 and 2015. Assistant Minister of Land Management, Water and Sanitation Services, Mr Itumeleng Moipisi said landboard was currently holding kgotla meetings to encourage people to take up available government programmes that facilitated housing development. Mr Moipisi said residents residing at Phase I Extension, Phase II Extension, Tawana Extension and Letsibogo currently access water from Phase I, Phase II, Tawana and Old Letsibogo, while Phase I Extension Industrial accesses water from Phase II and Nkosho Industrial sites. He was answering Boteti East MP, Sethomo Lelatisitswe who wanted to know the number of plots allocated in the aforementioned areas, years of allocation, number of developed and undeveloped plots in such areas, plans to repossess. Mr Lelatisitswe also wanted to know if residents of the said areas enjoyed services like roads, water and electricity. ENDS
