Parliament has been informed that the study on KW6 proposed ranches between villages of Tshwaane and Khekhenye has been completed and awaiting a strategic environmental assessment (SEA). Assistant Minister of Land Management, Water and Sanitation Services, Mr Itumeleng Moipisi highlighted that the project covers an area of 71 066 hectares of land with a perimeter of 127 km with the preliminary proposal having 20 ranches. He said it was anticipated that demarcation of the ranches would be done in the first quarter of the financial year 2017/18 upon completion of the SEA. Mr Moipisi said advertisements of the farms would be carried out during the third quarter of the 2017/18 financial year. The MP for Takatokwane, Mr Ngaka Ngaka had asked the minister to update Parliament on the demarcated farms between Tshwaane and Khekhenye and when they would be advertised. ENDS
