Land board WUC should advance retention plan
23 Mar 2017
Maun Administration Authority (MAA) chairperson, Mr Gaokgakala Letswee has advised Chobe Land Board and Water Utilities Corporation (WUC) to develop a customer value proposition in order to retain and expand their relationship with customers and stakeholders.
Mr Letswee said this when officially opening the combined retreat for the development of a six-year strategic plan (2017/2023) for both Chobe Land Board and WUC recently.
“Always remember that your unhappiest customers should be your greatest source of learning. It will require you to give a careful thought when identifying your key stakeholders and eventually when you draft your communication plan,” he said.
Mr Letswee further advised that the two departments’ plan should be crafted in an approach that would deliver other developmental agendas such as NDP 11, Vision 2036, and National Spatial Plan 2036 as well as regional frameworks.
He said that the incorporation of WUC in the Ministry of Land Management, Water and Sanitation Services was paramount since the provision of serviced land would support government efforts of ensuring inclusive growth for realisation of employment creation, poverty eradication and achieving prosperity for all as envisaged in Vision 2036.
For his part, board secretary for Chobe Land Board, Mr Kealeboga Kemoreile said the retreat was meant for the two organisations to set the visions and objectives and how to achieve the goals.
“The retreat will assist us in developing departmental plans, milestones to delight our customers and what measures to take towards achieving our goals,” he said. ENDS
