Network marketing businesses, which have recently become popular in Botswana, have been lauded for their potential to uplift lives, create wealth and jobs.

This was said by a youthful business owner and coach, Miss Gotlhe Molale at the ‘Forever Living Business Network Marketing Seminar in Francistown on March 18.

She said Network marketing businesses such as selling of health products has become popular among Batswana, adding that there were many people who sustain themselves by selling products from such brands as Amway, Avroy Shlain, Forever, Dina Pharm, Golden Products, Herbal Life and Delance, among others.

Miss Molale, who runs a business selling Forever product with her business partner, Ms Itumeleng Mudongo, explained that network marketing businesses were designed to cut a sophisticated chain of production between manufacturers and retailers in order to bring down product prices by bringing products directly to the consumers.

“If taken seriously, these types of businesses can create jobs for many unemployed youth who can in-turn help this country to progress,” she said.

The guest speaker from South Africa, Ms Balebeng Kwakwa, who is a manager at Forever Living stated that for one to be successful in the networking marketing business, there had to be greater team work in that one would not be looking to succeed alone, but as part of a team.

Being in the network marketing business, she said, was fulfilling in that the profits accrued from the sales of whichever product one was selling could augment one’s monthly income, hence relieving them from possible financial stresses. ENDS
