Officer transfer to Khudumelapye February
21 Mar 2017
Parliament has been told that a social and community development officer was recently transferred from Maboane to Khudumelapye in February and was introduced to the community on March 17, 2017.
Assistant Minister of Local Government and Rural Development, Mr Frans Van Der Westhuizen said the absence of an officer has not adversely affected service delivery as there was an officer giving service two days a week.
He said the arrangement would continue for smooth handover.
He further said the social and community development officer position in Khudumelapye became vacant in September 2016 as the officer has been transferred somewhere else.
The assistant minister said since that time the village has been serviced by an officer from Letlhakeng who comes on Wednesdays and Thursdays every week.
MP for Takatokwane, Mr Ngaka Ngaka had asked the minister if he was aware that there was no social and community development officer in Khudumelapye, and how it has affected service delivery to the people. ENDS
