Dow confirms shortage of textbooks

Minister of Basic Education, Dr Unity Dow has confirmed shortage of Chemistry and Physical Education textbooks at Ghanzi Senior Secondary School.
Responding to a question in Parliament, Minister Dow said the ministry had budgeted for books for the 2017/18 financial year, adding that the budget for the Chemistry and Physical Education textbooks was P403 800.
She added that such textbooks had been ordered and will be delivered at the beginning of second term. Ghanzi North MP, Mr Noah Salakae, wanted to know if Dr Dow was aware that there was shortage of Chemistry and Physical Education text books at Ghanzi Senior Secondary School.
Ghanzi North MP also wanted to know if they had been budgeted for, how much was the budget and when should the school expect the textbooks. ENDS
