WUC undergoing restructuring - Moipisi

Water Utilities Corporation (WUC) is currently undergoing restructuring in order to come up with appropriate and optimum service delivery process which would support the corporation’s mandate.
Answering a question in Parliament, the Assistant Minister of Land Management, Water and Sanitation Services Mr Itumeleng Moipisi said jobs would be matched to processes and identify employees who meet the new profiles.
“The process is ongoing, therefore determination on the number of employees to be affected has not been reached,” he said.
MP for Francistown East, Mr Buti Billy had requested the minister to brief Parliament about the restructuring at Water Utilities Corporation, to state the formula/system to be used and how many people/workers will lose their jobs.
Meanwhile, responding to another question from MP Billy, the assistant minister told Parliament that the last salary review exercise for Water Utilities Corporation (WUC) was conducted in 2010.
He said the highest paid employee earns a basic salary of P884 964 per annum, while the lowest paid employee earns a salary of P20 629 per annum.
The Francistown East MP had wanted to know when the last salary review was done at WUC.
He also asked the minister to state the salary of the highest paid and the lowest paid worker respectively. ENDS
